My father's only sibling. He was gunned down in a Bronx gas station, which he owned, and robbed of around 200 dollars, at the age of 39 in 1992. Slowly bled to death for 6 hours before he was discovered. He had already written a will, in which he had hired "funeral criers" (actors) to sit in the front row and cry throughout the eulogy. I never met him when he was alive.

After murdering his father while in a state of mania, he was admitted to Whitby psychiatric hospital as a minor for a year before hanging himself at the age of 19. He was my ex girlfriend's younger brother and really looked up to me.

She had Alzheimer's for 14 years. Her friends and family felt extremely lucky and grateful that her attitude stayed largely unchanged as her life changed dramatically. She was rarely scared when her memory was almost entirely gone and was soothed by the presence of her husband and children. She wore beautiful bright coloured pencil skirts and other trendy fashions. She would speak in French about pretty things and in English when people were crass. She laughed with her sisters whenever they spoke.

She had multiple surgeries and multiple further medical challenges. She was fun and kind. People always wanted to learn more about her and spend more time with her. She was actually mysterious.
